Hey guys I wanted to get into the cowboy action shooting, I bought myself a stoeger coach gun, when I was at the club a fellow CAS shooter was talking to me about the sport and he asked if I had a coach gun and I mentioned I have the stoeger, he mentioned I should get it setup for CAS by disabling the safety and working on the gun so it swings open easier.

I'm kicking myself for now asking for more details but is there details on how to smooth out the gun so it opens easier? I'm not too worried about the safety but I notice the gun is extremely stiff so it doesn't open that easy.

Where are you located brandon? Unless you are comfortable taking a dremel tool to your new shotgun, you may want to have it done for you.

The safety is not disabled, only the automatic resetting of it is. This is so that every time your reload (as you will do a couple times in a stage), you don't have to disengage the safety. The springs are lightened through an adjustment to make the gun #### the hammers easier, that is why it is hard to open, as it is also engaging the hammers. Also, another bit of work is done to allow the gun to open just "a bit" more to make throwing the empty shells out easier. Also the chambers are polished so the rounds just fall out.
