Ranger,
I have no doubt that your Condor has served you well. The OP asked about the competition model. I am not very competative any more, but from time to time I will shoot a flat in an afternoon and often a flat in a week, just for fun and to smell the powder. 4000 rounds works out to about 4 months. I have never seen a condor continue to function at that rate. At 4000 rounds a good competition gun is just getting broke in. If one were looking for a cheap competition gun I would advise getting the oldest and most worn out citori before I would advise getting a condor. I have never seen a citori that did not have more life left than a new condor. A condor may be able to break targets as well as a perazzi, but is just not capable of being there for the long haul. By the time that a shooter has shot enough to be intimate with his gun it will die or be very sick.
