Stoeger Condor

Quite plain but excellent guns. No frills but work very well. My brothers throws very dense patterns right to point of aim. Never a problem. You won't impress the country club boys but very functional hunting gun.

I'll say the opposite. I had one and it was a piece of s#it from the word go. I brought it home from Calgary, cleaned it then tried two snap caps. The extractor slipped over the rims. I had to ship it out East for repair and it never fired a shot. I got it back from Stoeger with 2 new scratches. I hunted with it twice. On the first trip, I had a misfire. On the second trip, the inertia hammers reset on the first shot, giving me a single shot. I never returned it, I traded it back at the store I bought it from for an 870 and I will never look back. Garbage, plain and simple.

Holy crap I only have the one to compare. It has a mechanical trigger(no resetting) maybe they've changed. Older ones better? I've been thinking of another one, can we get some more input?

Condor

I've put at least 1k trap loads,250 3"steel loads and countless crow loads and have had zero issues with it.Easily the best low cost o/u to be had.Buy one with confidence IHMO.

+1
I have one and am extremely satisfied with it. Inexpensive O/U with removable chokes. Never failed to go "bang" for me.

I just bought a 410 o/u and plan to use it as a close up grouse gun. Seems pretty good to me. Besides what are you going to get under $1000? If it works Im happy. Its a shotgun so not many moving parts. Have yet to pattern it but it is a nice little o/u and the old lady is already telling me its cute. Only problem with a wife that shoots is she may want to play with your toys. Thats ok as long as she doesnt get possessive.:)

I prefer the Baikal in O/U in that product's price range, but Stoeger makes an OK product. My dad has the Stoeger side by side coachgun in .410 and it is a sweet little shooter with never an issue.
