Stoeger Couger any thats

That's interesting, though as dudley2112 says, we are unlikely to see them in Canada, and most of us will be forbidden them if they do come.

Any idea where and by whom they are made? I don't think Stoeger builds anything themselves.

Plenty of the handguns we have up here, are only here because longer barrels were fitted by the manufacturer or even intermediately by the supplier or even retailer.

This is based on the Beretta 8000 (Cougar), and has a rotating barrel like the PX4 (the PX4 was based on the original Cougars). Beretta is under the same ownership as Stoeger. From what I know, the Cougars are made in Turkey...

Unless they male one with a slightly longer barrel I will be the only person who owns a Cougar in Canada. A Beretta 8045. From a limited run of ones for LAPD with a 4.25 inch barrel. The new ones by Stoegers are made on Beretta machines and tooling.

Since I hate threads without pictures...

How about Kodiak getting these in with a longer barrel... or Canada Ammo?

According to the wiki article, they have done custom barrel lengths in the past, notably for the LAPD (4").

I believe John (Marstar) does some business in Turkey. Try asking him.

Mine, LAPD Barrel, purchased from Brad Taylor. I also purchased an extra barrel, just to make sure it lasted. So yeah, I've got two legal barrels, and no I won't sell one.
