Stoeger Longfowler Series Shotguns?

Stoegers are low end firearms made in Brazil. Low end is mostly due to the fit and finish. Haven't a clue who carries 'em. I think North Sylva is the distributor though. Call 'em and ask.

Hmmm, my P350 feels like an extremely rugged well made shotgun, and the max4hd camo finish is excellent.

Comparing your gun to the way an over/under or SxS is made is like comparing apples and oranges. I don't now what kind of shooting the op has in mind and maybe they would be okay for his purpose. But to me the fit and finish looks poorer/cheaper than the Baikals used to be. But it's what's on the inside that counts so to each their own!

your right on the money, built to be the cheapest on the market, and although the fit has been somewhat better that few years back . still not the best choice. "You can put lipstick on a pig ,but its still a pig"

Fit and finish are important. Equally important are the characteristics of the materials used. Brazilian steel doesn't pass the test of time. No doubt the industry is aware of their reputation and working to source better materials. However, I won't be buying any of their products to see if and when they succeed. Like all companies that have brought upon themselves a bad reputation, Brazilian makers will have to be producing products comparable to the global industry for years before their bad rep will gradually improve.

Baikal products, by comparison, share many of the fit and finish issues as the Brazilian makes. The difference is that the Russian products are made from high quality steel (in terms of hardness and elasticity) for gun making purposes. Baikal can make some nice guns when they aren't focused primarily on the low end.

Yes, I think if one only wants to spend around $400.00 for an over/under or SxS, they would be better off looking for something like a used Baikal or a Feg or Brno. There are some very nice ones that get listed on here for less than a new Stoeger and they have withstood the test of time.
