Does anyone have any first hand experience with this. I am looking for an in expensive 20gauge for upland and the occasional waterfowl out of a kayak and love the short length on this. My big hang up with this is the sights, it has an open groove rear and i'm not sure if I could drift it out. I anyone has any other inexpensive options around the same price as one of these let me know, but it has to be 20gauge, short barreled with choke tubes.

thanks, have a great day

I really had a hankering for one last year, in 12 ga though. I went to a few shops that had one in stock, so I did get a chance to handle them. Of the 3 I looked at, none were to my liking. Very poor fit and finish, seriously stiff action and sights that for me, were way too coarse with the front sight being very tall. Another thing that had me wondering was the barrel regulation? All 3 did have interchangeable chokes and inertia triggers. Considering the cost, (I didn't find them that inexpensive), I walked away from the Outback. I haven't looked at one since, so perhaps they have improved?
I went with a double triggered Stoeger Coach gun in 12 ga instead and am quite pleased with it. It too has interchangeable chokes, but they are (or were) available in fixed chokes IC/M as well.

I have a 20 ga Boito coach gun listed on the EE. 20" barrels, 3" chambers, fixed choke mod/ic so steel friendly.
