I have read a lot of negative comments from owners of the P-350 on various forum discussions.
Bear in mind that Stoeger Industries is not a manufacturer. It is a subsidiary of Beretta that sources and distributes inexpensive shotguns.
The Condor over/under is made in Brazil.
The Uplander sxs is made in Brazil.
Their single shot model was also made in Brazil (seems to be a discontinued model)
The Model 2000 semi-autos are made by Vursan in Turkey.
The P-350 is their latest introduction also made in Turkey. They say it is made by Vursan, but I believe it's a Hatsan design....
There is a very large number of shotgun makers in Turkey. Most of them are small operations. Altough there has been improvements over the last few years, quality from Turkish made shotguns still varies. The biggest issues are quality inconsistancy and quality control. It seems that you can get good and bad products from the same manufacturer...
This is what "Field & Stream" wrote about them :
"There are over 300 gunmakers in Turkey, most of them scattered in tiny villages across the countryside. Turkish factories are a mix of East and West, where tea carts wheel from workbench to workbench, and prayer rooms for the Muslim workers stand next door to CNC machines. "
If you are looking for a pump shotgun, I would recommend the Remington 870, Mossberg 500 or Winchester 1300. Or, if you don't mind paying a bit more, get the Benelli Nova.
