stoeger,remington or mossberg

I did my research recently. Rem 870 express is my vote, a lot of after market stuff. but if you are lefty, then take BPS.

There must be a good reason that the US Marines have recently made Mossberg their shotgun of choice? There have been a number of quality control issues recently with the Express models from Remington. The Stoeger model really hasn't been out long enough although I've only seen one come back to P&D from an unhappy customer. Have yet to see an unhappy Mossberg customer at store level. FS

The USMC shotgun trials were not recent, but rather about 10 or more years ago. Remington chose not to submit a shotgun for those trials, so they were not even in the running. So any comments on how the Mossberg beat out the 870 in the USMC trials are not entirely founded in reality. It is a fact however, that the Mossy did win out over the other entries.
 
I didnt know Remmi wasnt in those US Marines trials...
Have tried both. My preference is for the Mossberg, I find it easier to load without looking at it, because there's no cover over the loading port.
