I really like this gun, after 1100 rds no mals, steel case runs fine. I do like the sights, and dont hate the trigger, 7 LBS? The mags well they drop free and hold the slide back after last round, but the rounds hang up a little if you load them and thumb them out to unload, but no mals yet while shooting. Maybe the springs could be better, I guess this isn't t a big deal as long as it goes bang. Anyone else have one? I guess you can buy fns 9, creed's, tp9s, m and p 9, sd9ve, for around same price. Opinions?

These look interesting and the reviews I have seen so far are good. I would like to handle one but haven't found them in a store yet.

How does it feel compared to say a Glock 17?

I obtained 1 of the first to hit the country in 2019 and did a test as it appeared to be a lesser cost Glock, made in Turkey. I was not disappointed. It functioned well with all weights of 9mm tried and went bang every time. The only thing I did not like was the trigger shape, which like the Glock 48, comes to a peaked front, angled on either side. Personally I found it to be uncomfortable as was the trigger on the G48, but easily remedied refacing to a more flat face. All in all I found it to be a Turkish Glock, with the only real difference being the fire control system altered. Is it worth it? I felt so. They originally premiered at $499 and have increased slightly since then but I was happy. As for the holster needed, I found the M&P holster to fit or the G20/21. But, I certainly do not need another Glock in the stable so I will be sending it off to a new home in the future. Fun gun and lot of smiles per dollar.

Well glock is a better gun, but this str may be better than sd9ve, maybe not. I asked someone at cust service for stoeger about mags, they just said what did I expect at that price point? Well a gen 1 M and P goes for 519$ and your str9 is 499$, but I am selling it to a new shooter, he already shot and wants it, so I am letting it go.

I have not tried canik, but think I am done with Turkish stuff, it is better when you can get recoil springs and other stuff you may need, glocks lots of parts, 1911 lots of parts, beretta parts, that matters, only buy a proven and time tested gun.

I just bought one and am turning into my steel shooter. Glock 17 kydex by northern advantage holster fits like a glove!

Can’t wait to mount the optic on it!

I don’t have any complaints as far as the trigger. No hang ups or rough feel. Breaks nice

You are going to like it a lot. As I posted earlier, I managed to do some testing when the first batch hit our shores. Performed admirably, however, after the testing, I set it aside and havnt gone back to it. Not because I didnt like it, just that I have a few others that are my old go-to guns. Looks like its probably time to list it in the EE and let somebody else enjoy it. Enjoy the STR and I am sure it will meet expectation

Mags are the only issue. I was able to find some at CSC but they're $90/... mounting the optic is proving to be an issue. No dovetail mounting plates, so milling it is!
