Stolen pistol 5 years ago recovered (now with test fire video edit on first post )

just got off the phone with the constable.
hes got a short meeting to attend and he'll be down to my place to turn it over to me shortly after 9 pm .
that don't leave much play time for me as I gotta go to work for 11pm but I will post pics even if I gotta do it from the work computer.

I gotta say, if you are going to carry a pistol, legal or not, that is a ###y ass .45 :)

I talked to a guy at a Canadian Tire store that had a Colt .45 stolen 20 years ago and got it back all rusted to crap from some gang banger in Vancouver.
 
Im thinkin its probly good shape too . its not like criminals can just go buy hordes of ammo to shoot every weekend .
like we can.
probly in better condition that if I had it the whole time .
if I had it the whole time there would likely be 100.ooo rounds through it and beat to hell .
the only damage I may be able to forsee would be external as its possible that it may have been rattleing around under the seat of a automobile, or signs of neglect possibly shoved in somones attic and got rust pitting on the slide .
barrel,and bushing is stainless,frame is aluminum possible pitting on steel slide and rusted springs and other carbon parts maby.
 
I think this is a great story, it is awesome that they offered to deliver it and save you some paperwork.
I really hope the gun hasn't been abused by the perps...look forward to seeing the pictures.
