Stolen shotgun

My guess is he was scoped out at the trap range and targeted. This is a high dollar shotgun and would not be that easy to sell unless they already had a buyer lined up for it.

I got an email from the gentleman who runs our junior trap shooting program. His trap gun was stolen from his acreage early yesterday morning. Gun is a Perazzi MX2000RS. Serial number 132331. This is a combination set with a bottom single barrel and a double barrel that fits the same receiver.

This gentleman is one of the good guys. Has run the junior trap program at the Winnipeg Trap and Skeet club for years and has done much to help the sport. Please keep an eye out for this gun

Mods, if this is not the place for this post, feel free to move it.

If it is stolen I wouldn't post about it or the serial # here.

You'd just alert the thieves, if they ever try to sell it here

This is correct

as sad as it seems, another member of the club could.of known the value of the shotgun and when the owner was not around

The member could of done it himself or set it up with others.

It's a sad sad world we are in, after a day at the range of shooting I'm always checking my review to see if anyone is following me home

I have been a victim of firearm theft in the past and you can never be to sure

My guess is the thing is long gone and had a new home before it was stolen. A now defunct lgs in my area was broken into years ago the thieves stole only the production open guns and the high end trap gun nothing else was touched or any attempt to get into the back room were made. Out of all the guns that were there m&p9s, dpms ar15s, Winchester defenders and dozens of optics, they took just those firearms and no ammo. Logistically you don’t steal high end merch with a buyer.

Like high end cars and trucks, jewellery, art and many other luxury items, this fine Perazzi is likely on the way to it’s new home in another country.

There’s a good chance that here in MB it may end up like these examples seized by our police:

If it was a targeted theft then the thief would have known what he was stealing but if it was random then the perp may not have idea what he has. It could end up a couple of provinces over at a trap shoot or end up with the barrels chopped off in some hoods car.
