Did you even call the police, or are you trying to recover the gun yourself without the risk of being charged, perhaps with unsafe storage? I agree this sounds odd. :confused:

Call the cops, let them sort out this mess and hope that your "brother" had his weapon secured and stored legally to prevent theft / unauthorized access before the CFO bends him over.
 
the gun was stored properly....yes, the apartment was looted, computers and the like we also taken...etc, the suspected robber who WE think it is, does not have the gun paperwork in order to posses or obtain ammo

we are all owners of restricted weapons and have taken all legally required courses for our municipality.

and of course the authorities were the first ones called, they are doing their job, this post was not to stir up a hornets nest, but to simply let the local gun owners to keep a friendly ear to the ground for such a gun, to ensure if it is not returned to my brother, to ensure it is removed from illegal hands

the police are investigating as we speak

Pony: If your story is legit then, as everyone here has said, you and your brother need to report it to the police ASAP. Period. And no one here is going to come across a stolen handgun for sale. The "thief" won't be selling it to any legal gun owners. He'll either be using it to commit crimes or selling it to someone else for use in their crimes. It is actually pretty insulting that you would come here and post this s**t. Either that or you really just have no idea about the firearms registration system in Canada.

But either way, cal the cops now. And ask a moderator to delete this thread ASAP.

OK, I see you have reported it. Good. Now have this thread deleted immediately. No one on this site will be coming across your stolen gun and nothing good will ever come out of a thread like this.

What legally required courses to own a restricted handgun? Last I checked there is just two tests you have to take, and they do not vary by municipality.

If it swims fishy, and sounds fishy, then it is probably fishy!

It is of common knowledge that no one follows the law like legal gun owners
 
A stolen restricted is very serious, folks are right to be suspicious. Assuming your bro's Glock was trigger locked when stolen, did they steal the keys too>?
 
Hard to trace a stolen Glock: Insert small screwdriver under metal serial number tag, and pry up; slides and barrels are plentiful and cheap. Thank heaven the suspect doesn't have a valid PAL and won't be able to obtain any cartridges... :rolleyes:
 
There are only two possibilities here: either this is a troll post or Pony and "Sgt Oddball" are riding the short bus.
 
they were on a bus when the gun was stolen? has anyone notified london transit?

This post reeks of BS.

I know our news isnt the best but with all the poo with handgun bans the commies would definitly want that story in the rag if this was true..
