Did sgt oddball suffer broken fingers in during the robbery ?

Why must someone post on his behalf, sounds like a load of crap .

LHW - G-20C - August 2007 - 3rd Gen.

LHU were G17's.

Authority: Glock Talk serial number research

You the man! So this would mean it's not a G17, but in fact a G20?

I can't pull up any threads or postings with sergeant oddball, anyone else?

loogie33 mentions a theft while in transit, did I miss another thread?

Pony and sargeant oddball...really starting to look like a steaming pile of bull####.......convince me I'm wrong.

Seriously.

Why would a member of this forum ask his brother, who isn't a member to join just to post something the existing member could have posted himself.

This is looking more and more like 10 pounds of bull#### in a 5 pound bag.

Hard to trace a stolen Glock: Insert small screwdriver under metal serial number tag, and pry up; slides and barrels are plentiful and cheap. Thank heaven the suspect doesn't have a valid PAL and won't be able to obtain any cartridges...

There are other distinct numbers and markings located elsewhere on Glocks. The serial bar(not the type you eat) isn't the only one.

while the OP seems suspicious, I have a question.....

With the alleged handgun thefts lately, how the hell were people storing them? My stuff is stored in a 700lb steel safe with a 2.5" thick door, the whole thing is bolted to both the wall and the floor.... while a determined theif could probably get it out, its pretty unlikely, it definately wouldnt be a walk in to the house, and walk out 10 minutes later with all my handguns stuffed in a duffle bag.

With any gun thefts it makes me think how the hell are we letting so many repeat offenders walk around and victimize people? I don't think many people caught stealing guns would be first time breakers of the law. I would rather keep those people locked up and let me keep my gun in any responsible fashion I choose in my own house. Lock up the bad guys, unlock the guns :)

you're pretty nice, only wanting the bad guys to stay locked up.... I'd rather have them shipped somewhere far away.... like Australia. :)

The minimum for restricted storage is a trigger lock in a stack on cabinet. I personally have a high quality safe but not everyone can afford that.

Doesn't have to be trigger locked in a safe,

guys no matter what/how you store anything it can be stolen...

I work at a max security facility we have had to defeat locks and doors at times when we could not open them

6 ft pry bars torches and cutoff wheels work VERY VERY well

remember the safe storage laws were NOT to prevent theft but to prevent kids from getting to them.......
