STOOPID QUESTION-Aimpoint magnifier

If you put a 4 x magnifier in front of a 2 MOA red dot, do you see an 8 MOA red dot ?
Wouldn't an 8 MOA dot be useless for long range shooting ?

Negative. The dot will look bigger, but so will the target. The dot will remain 2 MOA.

Would the image stay clear I wonder in that scenario? I have never used that type of thing, I guess there is a focus function to bring it in clear?

focus-free - look, aim, shoot. There are no adjustable optical bits on the aimpoint magnifier (just two screws to center the dot).

How would the dot get bigger if the magnifer was in front of the aimpoint? Wouldn't it be smaller?
