Stop the RCMP!

RageStation,

I am not ignoring you at all and have not censored your position. But this is not a thread to tie the isues together. We are trying to start an info campaign to get the ball rolling against more RCMP skullduggery.

JR

The RCMP and CFOs are enabled by the c51/c17/c68 firearms act which we should be focusing on getting repealed.
Our big focus now should be keeping the socialists from getting elected in October.
If the LPC/NDP or any combination thereof becomes the federal government the problems we are discussing now will be miniscule compared to the ones we will be facing a year from now.

Honestly we need to keep this on topic, Jr is a great guy who has done a lot for the community both shooting and non, we all make mistakes... were human, how else would we learn? It's in the past, live and learn, some people need to get over it and move on with there lives and get with the current issues.

Then of course we have the inexplicable compulsion and obsession shared by many in the Canadian firearms community to "eat their own" like just illustrated by the NFA feeding frenzy after the AGM video was published.

JR,

Precisely what I have been saying is exactly that, "do not thread them together." But one of your statements earlier did this. Simply trying to point out that we shouldn't do this even in passing/mistake/poor choice of words perhaps? And that people should be aware of this when making their letters to forward on to proper representation.

That the two are not the same at all. This particular case is even bigger; as there is no third party to manufacture a change to the product. This is literally a legal product that is currently used legally like many other legally exempted magazines under the criminal code of which the RCMP intends to alter with out House of Common or Senate representation.

I could bold and highlight that I am not trying to redirect this at you, but only that when we go forward with our letters to not make parallels between the two cases as it would only weaken both due to how very different they are. Also the question of "ignoring" was directed at another who suggested that I just be ignored; seems strange to me to suggest to anyone we should not listen when speaking in a thread about encouraging more to get involved.

I'm not sure where I came off as intending to "blame this on JR", but that wasn't my intent at all.

Makes perfect sense now. Now go write your letter.

Looks good, JR. You mind if i copy/alter your letter?

Please feel free.

I always found shorter and to the point is better. Especially if many others are writing as well.

The most important thing is to be polite. One can be firm, but it must be polite.

I agree with everyone and the topic at hand but people have to remember they aren't infringing our rights because we have none regarding firearms. The SCoC has ruled on this.

:agree:
Canadians don't even have enshrined property rights.
The Canadian firearms community exists at the pleasure of whatever political regime is the federal government at any point in time.
The DOJ bureaucracy, the RCMP, the CFOs, the media, Wendy and the CfGC, the socialist political parties (LPC/NDP/Greens) are our sworn enemies.
When the political climate is right (probably after a mass shooting) and the wrong (for us) government is in power they will destroy us.
The vaguely and ambiguously worded c68 firearms act is all our enemies need to ban every privately owned firearm in Canada.

They will take our personal property without giving us a dime in compensation.
Make no mistake about that.

My letter:

Honourable Steven Blaney,

I write to you today to express concern over a news article that has surfaced in regards to the RCMP once again making an arbitrary determination that will affect thousands of law abiding citizens.
In summary; it appears as though the RCMP are in the process of changing their previously published position in regards to magazines and their uses in various firearms. For reference, please see RCMP Bulletin 72.

http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/cfp-pcaf/b...323-72-eng.htm

This move has far reaching consequences and must be stopped by your office.

To be blunt, this is exactly the abuse that the firearms community is fed up being subjected to. It is also wrong for any unelected official to have such arbitrary power over Canadians.

It is my sincere hope that you, as the Public Safety Minister will be able to achieve success in stopping this matter as you have in regards to the creation of Bill C-42.

Sincerely,

Mr. JR Cox, CD

Broken link! I wonder if they took it down already!!!! Can you check it again. I would like to save a copy for my records as well.

Ian

not that I agree with it, but I figured there would come when the RCMP would shut down that loop hole. I don't think that its a coincidence that it has magically become an issue now when we are months away from an election.

The police have no legal authority to do so. That by definition is a police state. They don't make the laws they just enforce them as written. Now if they want change they have to goto parlment request it then they write up a new bill then vote on it.

the whole reason for the magazines is who wants a 1 round 50 bewulf magazine. Some people use the 50 bewulf upper.

URL showed up as Error 404 on your original post. Now the link works. All is well, I guess.

I posted this in wolverine forum so I just gonna paste it here.
"We need show the RCMP that we see through their BS plot like a 50cal bullet through plywood.
they want to pit us against the con, we should organize a enough is enough donation campaign for the con, show them we will not be taking it laying down this time, and their bs plot won't work.
wolverine would you take the lead and make a donation site? many of us will donate right away.

we should make it that all donations will go the conservetive party of Canada, ONLY if the RCMP is restrained from making laws as they please."

something similar to the recent ruling that the RCMP cannot reclassify firearms after 1 year.

There is nothing wrong with cross posting when it comes to getting the word out.
