Storing Spent Shell Casings

I buy milk in the 1 gallon plastic jugs. I cut the top off and have cubes to store brass.

For my 9mm 38spl and 45, I use the 5 gallon paint pails with lids to store my brass till needed

For larger quantities I like to line a milk crate with a garbage bag.
They stack easily and are open topped so moisture isn't a problem. Not to mention easier to move with the handle's and all

Coffee tin cans.
Save the plastic snap on lids.

This is my method exactly, along with large peanut butter tubs and such. Long term storage prior to reloading means using desiccant pouches to regulate moisture levels ( I store my stuff in the basement ).

are the plastic trays that the factory ammo comes in worth saving as well, do re loaders use them?

I can't speak for others, but I keep 15-20 of those plastic trays around for holding cartridges while reloading.

I throw mine in plastic litter containers.

For longer term storage of my cleaned brass I use these Sterilite 5l containers that Canadian Tire sells. Usually around 3 bucks each. Stackable.
