Stormworkz rail update!

To anyone who was involved with my previous post about the missing in action stormworkz rail which was sent thru mail, I now have recieved it. Looks like Canada Customs was playing with it for awhile judging by all the yellow tape on it. So all there is left to say is.....Josh at Stormworkz has A+ customer service, and thats one very nice rail. If you have a amalite ar-18/180b and you do not have a stormworkz rail.....get one now! http://www.stormwerkz.com/index.html

Just a quick question about the Stormworkz rail... any idea if it lines up with the MIDWEST Industries handguard rail?

To line up with the MI your best bet is to get a length of pic rail machined down to the right hieght and mount it to the top of the reciever.

This is of course a moot point as we can't get the MI rails in country as of yet.
 
Can that OEM scope lug be removed or is it welded on to stay?

I figure that some Custom top rails would be required. Since you have the front sight, you may need the rear stock sight. I dount that a rear BUIS or other rail adapter would line up as well? opinions?
 
Well I am still shipping to Canada ! I will have a copy of the State Dept info. for Customs in each shipment.
SHAZAM : I think you may find the mounting plates on any new Ar-180b will be welded solid, I have sold hundreds of the mounts worldwide and have yet to have a customer mention anything about a weak weld. I think if there was a problem it was taken care of after the real early 180B's came out. If you decide to machine your plate off, there are some companies making steel rail blanks which you could Tig weld on.

That just goes to show you that no matter how good looking a woman is, somebody, somewhere, is tired of putting up with her $&!%.

Since you two have broken up, does that mean I can use her photo for my avatar now? :cool: Too soon to ask that question? :D
