STOWAWAY Rifles 5.7 are in stock and ready to ship

Exactly right.
The Lab tried so hard to make this firearm restricted, we do not want to give them any ammunition against us.
For this same reason we will not be importing the 1919 stock adapters, sorry :(

This is very disappointing news, and is the first time I have heard that you are now back-tracking on the Picatinny Stock Adapters. Up until now, you had told us that those adapters were definitely coming, to the point that some of us have spent $$ on fixed Picatinny Stocks in anticipation of their arrival. I recently acquired an adapter from a different source, however that does not change the fact that you led us on for months only to change your mind and not bother to tell anyone before now. That is pretty lame customer relations and communications IMHO....

Nobody like bad news that's for sure.
I have no doubt that many of the retailers in Canada wish they were not under ever increasing restrictions on what they can sell to their customers, specially when there is obvious demand... there have been no shortage of companies pushing the boundaries and trying to work around the nonsense just to be slapped for their troubles and treated like a threat to safety. It's not shocking that some are getting gun shy.

My accuracy with a short 9mm barrel is horrendous, more like a shotgun than a stabilized pistol. I can't see a non-coincentric chamber with my naked eye, but there is definitely something wrong. I cannot even group at 25m!!

MARSTAR - can we arrange an RMA so that I can exchange this barrel for one that is in proper specification? The barrel that I currently have is useless to me....

This is not normal.
Yes, please contact us and we can get this fixed for you ASAP.

Here is my 5" barreled Stowaway's group, 4.5X scope, 25 yards, indoors, handload 9mm +P (BlueDot powder, Campro 115gr projectiles), off a rest.

Well if it’s in stock, it doesn’t show up on your website. In fact, the 5.7 doesn’t show up under Dark Mtn Atms at all, except the conversion.
Looks like the 16" 5.7 rifle is in stock as well as the 5" barrel conversion kits in both calibers.

Does yours have random light primer strikes? like 15 or more per 50 round box of any factory ammo?

I would grab up one of these little guns if they were sold with the short 9mm barrel...or even if I could get the long barrel one and then just buy the short barrel as an accessory. A version in .22lr would do it for me as well. Hell, a .44mag or .357mag would be terrific.

All this nonsense about being forced to buy not only the new barrel separately, but also the complete bolt with it, is just a bit irritating. There's no need to design or build anything special, just let us buy the barrel and/or bolt as we see fit. And the only other cartridge choice...so far...is about as unappealing to me as it could get. I'm a sport shooter in Canada; what possible benefit is there to me in the 5.7x28 as opposed to a .22mag or even .22Hornet. Seems that the only thing this new cartridge has going for it is the fact that it's a new cartridge.

Learning from this thread that the new gun has a crappy trigger doesn't sweeten the pot either.

I want to love this thing...and I know I would if the marketing and packaging were a bit better. As it stands, it seems like they have a cool little toy to sell, and are making it as unattractive as possible by poor choices in cartridge selection, configuration, etc.

I don't think this is the right gun for you, move on and look something else.
