Well, i run into a little issue when i decided i'd reload 100 .375win cases....
The bullet doesnt sit atop of the case, instead it falls as i close the die.

What to do??

One or two things is happening. Either your resizing dies is not sizing the mouth of your case small enought or the resizing plug on the decaping pin to large a dia. for the bullets you are using.

Also is the bullet you are using the right dia.?

First are you using the appropriate diameter bullet?

If so then are you using a full sizing die to size the case? If so do you have the expander in the die so that the neck will accept the bullets? If it is in, measure the diameter of the expander to ensure it is not undersized.

If you are using a neck sizing die you may have to back it off a little to allow for easier seating of the bullet.

Best of luck!

From reading Graydog's post I may have misunderstood. Do you mean that the bullet is falling off the case prior to going into the seating die, or that the bullet is falling into the case itself?

Hey guys an update!!

I didnt have the resizing die set properly which wasnt allowin the case to be closed up enough.... that is sorted.

Now the problem is that the Cannelure in the Projectile is in the RIGHT spot, but if i crimp the bullet below the line its too long to feed into the 94..
So the crimp is not tight enough on the cannelure allowing the bullet to move around...

what do you do about this?
thanks for the help

Does the bullet need to be crimped fairly tight?
When the case sat on the Cannelure of the projectile, it can move around between the cannalure, im wondering if this has much effect for accuracy or pressure.

I shot 2 of the "loose" cartridges and one Tight crimp ( below Cannalure line) and suprisingly the two loose shots were on target looking quite good...
The tight was on target also...

maybe the only difference between both loose an tight was the Recoil....

Any other issues to fit under this umbrella?

thanks
