Strange looking old.....22lr

A friend has a funny looking old 22 LR. Is looks like a pistol but has the stock of a rifle on it. Made in West Germany by Josef & Landmann-Preetz. Modle. JGL-automat 65/68/69. Will try to post a picture up soon.

What I am interested in is any information someone might have on these pieces. Googled it and was able to find that originally it was a knock off of an Thompson machine-gun in 22LR... Made in the 60s after the second James Bond movie... Any info would be nice...
