Hello, I purchased my csa vz-58 a few months ago. Since then I've put about 750 rounds through it. I noticed lately that everytime after shooting when I was cleaning that my brush was getting looser and looser. I thought my brush was worn out so bought a new one and also a boresnake. When I tried to clean last weekend I used my boresnake for the first time and it was like a hotdog in a hallway. I'm pretty new to owning guns, I assumed that over time a barrel could wear out but not this fast right? What's wrong with my gun guys?! Thanks.

Your bore size is about .311 and the 30cal bore snake is .308.

Try using a 32cal/8mm bore brush instead.

Oh and your barrel is not worn, even 750rds full auto would not wear it that much :p

Yea I was going to say use the same brushes and bore snake for .303 British 7.7mm but I think the .308 bore snake is advertised for the .303 British as well. I know that Pro-Shot has a .312(7.7mm) brass bore brush. Since you're a newbie, I better mention that the .303 British isn't a .303 at all its actually a .312. The barrel should be far from being worn out. If you take a 7.62x39 and try to put the bullet though the muzzle end, you will see just how much smaller the barrels bore is compared to the bullet.
