Strange Question/Discussion - Which handguns retain value well over time?

I would think the real collector bet would be short run "different" designs. While certainly not blue chip investments, a long term big payout could be achieved through guns like the Chiappa Rhino or Boberg Arms, assuming the production runs are small.

OP; guns hold their value better than most things. If you start with a high end gun and take care of it, when you sell, you will realize a high "used" price. If you start with a low end gun...you get the idea.
Condition is everything. These are tools afterall and if the pistol/revolver is beat or abused...well, you get the idea there too!

In EE or Real-World dollars?

LOL, Real world, not the "Hey I bought this gun, shot a crate of ammo through it, and now save the tax and shipping over new!" scheme. I kid you not, I have seen so many ads that say "I bought this gun for $350 and want to get that back, so $350 firm".... What? lol

plinker77: You bet! It's like anything really, common sense dominates!

Cocksure: Yea, the Rhino's are a neat and unique little toy. i want one badly!

Trigun: I have to admit, I have noticed that about Norc's! They tend to keep near their original purchase value. IF you buy one for $300 used in mint shape, you can probably sell it for that in a bit too!

As for everyone else, GREAT Input! Keep it coming!
