Any one have experience on these stretch 16 barrels? .223 Wylde chambered and according to their website -> The STRETCH 16's Intermediate Length gas system is approximately 2" longer than the Mid Length gas system and approximately 1.5" shorter than Rifle Length gas systems. The longer the gas system, the softer shooting the rifle is. Melonite makes the barrel last longer and hand lapped?

Good feedback from American 3 Gun shooters. A bit expensive but is it worth the cost?

I have about 3k rounds through mine, a Stretch16 fluted melonite version. I'm happy with it. I find I have to have the adjustable gas block pretty much wide open to run my lightweight BCG and JP captured spring. I do believe in long gas systems, adjustable gas blocks, and LW BCGs, but I do wonder if I had a regular buffer and BCG if this barrel would give enough gas to run it. I previously had a 16.5" rifle length barrel and was actually able to turn down the gas on that (same everything as much Stretch16 gun except the barrel), which again suggests maybe the gas port in mine is drilled a bit small.

The most comparable and available barrels I've seen in Canada are the Faxons from companies like CTCS.

If you are coming to Prairie Fire match you could check it out, I'll be shooting it there.

i have 2 noveske barrels with intermediate gas systems, I believe it is the same system length, runs really great and you can still use your collapsible stock.

Went to the range a couple of days ago and I ran the gas block that came with the barrel with a standard weight BCG and Buffer. Works as expected. Next project is to get a lightened BCG and buffer. That would probably require an adjustable gas block to function correctly.

SquibLoad, a suggestion, an Adjustable GB would be a good match for a lightened BCG, buffer and spring. I'm using Odin, not its the best, but what can I afford, and it works anyway. good luck
