Anybody know where I can get any of these?

They've proved hard to find.

Sorry for not being specific... but I was kinda looking for a Canadian source. Thanx for the link though... could still be useful.

I'm not aware of a Canadian source, I think most of the guys here who have them either ordered from Brownells or direct, no reason not to.

I'm just worried it'll get stuck at customs for months... that's one of the main reasons why I don't wanna order from the US. But I guess if I have to...

The longest that you could expect it to be in customs is about a week. If Brownells has your email address they will advise you when your order has been processed and shipped. You'll know where it is, and then you'll have it.

Oh ok.. looks like I'll give them a try. Thanx guys. I wonder why nobody in Canada sells these things... they're good.

That's what the pros say. Like many things, what you would assume would be a no brainer clearly isn't. You'd figure that every gun shop in Canada would have at least one decent holster for a 1911 in stock as well as decent quality mags - I've lost count of the number of times I've been in a new town, gone into a gunshop and found.....nothing.

Gunshops still only accommodate FUDDS, not all but the majority, sad but true. The site sponsors are great though if you are part of the black rifle crowd.

So it looks like Brownells no longer carries them. When I ordered, this is all I got from them:

** NOTES ** SIR: HAVE CANCELLED 100-002-829 AS THE
MANUFACTURE IS NOT REGISTERED WITH OUR
DEPT OF STATE.

Whatever the hell that means... lol. I'm pissed.

I ordered some grips from a company in Florida. They were labelled "micarta samples".
Ordered a knife labelled "hand tool".

My advice is to talk to the vendor, some are familiar with shipping to Canada.

They wont export them unless the manufacturer is registered with the US Dept of State, I tried getting some Novak sights, grips, and aftermarket parts for my FN Hipower (all under the 100 dollar limit) and none of it could be shipped except the wolf xtra power springs I ordered.

IMO most Canadian shops seem to carry cheap junk that appeals to Fudds and Mall ninjas.

Have you tried ordering from Simonich direct yet? As others have posted, I also got mine direct (this was a couple years ago, but no problems at all with delivery then).
