Stripped Lowers

Tried to buy a Stripped lower today. Wolverine only has Sabre Defense from the UK in stock, Questar has taken all thier Spikes Tactical Order options off thier site, Arms East has been out of Stag lowers for quite a while.

Is the US state department no longer allowing stripped lowers to come into Canada?

Hi ZuluMike,
It won't help you at the moment, but I would like to give an update from AEI as we're mentioned, and answer your question.
We've been out of stripped lowers for about a month now.
We have more lowers ready to ship from Stag, and expect them to be in motion in the next 14 days.
The US State Dept hasn't modified their regs as far as AR lowers go for at least three years. Lowers are still good to go. No 556 markings. No change.

DT thanks for the response, that's good news that you have lowers on the way and I was in no way trying to bash your company in as I have been very happy with AEI and my STAG rifles.

I wanted to try a Daniel Defense Lower and was very disappointed when Wolverine informed me that they had not gotten the export approval from the State Dept.

Plus while surfing around the other day I noticed that Questar no longer has Spikes Tactical lowers available for ordering on their site so I started to get alarmed. Maybe Questar will chime in and give some info of what's up.

I ordered and recieved 2 of the Blue Line lowers a short while ago. They are very nice looking, well made, everything fits well and the best part, "Made in Canada" on the right side.

I never took it as bashing at all. :) All you said was that we're out of stock on lowers, which... we are.
I wanted to use this opportunity to give an status update. Thanks for that.

I got two Aero lowers from Kodiak. Shipping, communications and service is excellent from them. The lowers came with one good scratch on them each where the bare aluminum was showing. Kodiakoutpost said it was a common occurrence that took place when the lowers were shipped to them in the first place.

:eek:...I wouldn't accept that. If I made the scratch then fine...I'll accept it but not for something being shipped new from a dealer. Kodiak (IMO) should have sent those back to the manufacturer...not passed them on to you. I was actually just thinking of ordering a couple (based on Suputin's remark about a discount for a volume of 2) but not if they're coming with a deep scratch on them.

Our prices are not out to lunch, especially considering Canada Post has just raised their shipping rates and we have not.
