stripper clip compatibility question

Czechs used the SKS type stripper exclusively for the Vz 58. They never used the SKS and the Vz52 & 52/57 used their own unique 5 round stripper.

At the range a couple weeks back I had one of my SKS' and buddy beside me had a CZ-858 and I used some of my chargers in it. Worked fine, although it's a little less forgiving. You need to make sure you push the "stripper" all the way down into the CZ or it won't load properly - on my first try I only got one round in... :rolleyes: My SKS' LOVE being loaded! They must have some kind of strange magnet built into the magazine - ammo just seems to jump into them... :D ;)

So, yeah, strippers work in the 858 so they should work fine on the VZ-58. Same gun, really. One restricted, one not... :rolleyes: - retarded laws... :mad:
