Howdy,folks.
I’m looking for stripper clips to fit a Mauser98 slot, that would accept 30-06 cartridge reliably.
8 mill Mauser? Anything else? Swedish perhaps?

Cheers

The Swedish Mauser chargers hold the '06 cartridges and work well in my '03 Springfields and 50 FN Mauser.
Original Springfield ones were frail and rusty and had their tabs broken off. They're no longer common, at least on this side of the Northern frontier.
IIRC, there used to be some commercial ones made for the NMC target shooters made from stainless steel, but it's been a couple of decades since I've seen them advertised.
PM me if you can't find some Swedes.

The Swedish ones won't work with WWII era German 98's. They will work with my Brazilian 1908, and as Slug pointed out, in the 1903 Springfield. So it depends on specifically which Mauser you're trying to fit clips to. The K98's and earlier German service rifles use a clip that has 3 lugs on each side.

This is a Parke Hale model 1000 Safari. It appears to be a sporterized M98 of unknown origins......not a Santa Barbara btw, it has the thumb cut out present on the reciever.

Thanks gents, I’m sure I’ll get to the bottom of my dilemma, with your help
