stripper clips for the 7.65x53 Argentine round

Does any one know if any more common calibre stripper clips fit the 7.65x53 Argentine round to work acceptably?

Best is to measure the width of the charging slot ,the stripper clips for the 7.62x51 are 14.25 mm wide,the ones for the German Mauser (same cartridge base size) are only 13mm wide.

This is more determined by your rifle than the ammo itself.

7.65x53 shares the same case head with 7x57, 8x57, 30-06, 7.62 NATO, etc. Both types of Argentian Mausers (M1891 and M1909) were designed to use the 'bumpless' stripper clips. I do not know if any other types will work and unfortunately I don't have one to test.

Argentinian Mausers are made by DWM in Berlin. So 8mm stripper clips should work fine.
