Stripper clips LE No5?

I'm assuming LE No4 and No5's use the same stripper clips. Are these commonly available? Is there a preferred clip?

Edit: Did find a Corwin listing but some posts note they are Italian issue. What is the opinion of these?

No 1, No4 and No 5's all use the same "chargers". The best are the early blued ones. The later ones are phosphate coated and they do not work as well, it is almost like they have sandpaper on them. Be patient and go to gun shows and find the early ones.

Agreed. However, they are getting up there in price, and some have $5 tags on them.

The big thing is to put the cartridges into the charger PROPERLY. You put the first one in with the base flat against the charger, the second one goes with the rim on top of the first one, the third one flat like the first one but with the rim of the cartridge underneath the rim of the second one, the fourth up like the second one, and the fifth one flat like one and three. Looking at a loaded charger from the side, you will see the bullet tips --- down, up, down, up, down.

A bit of emery cloth smooths them up quite well.
 
there are some very good videos, on YouTube, about the correct way to put the cartridges into the chargers, my dad served with British Army, in WW2, he told me , that they spent many hours, training with the correct procedure of charger loading,
 
Thank you all, very informative for a greenhorn milsurp nut. I think some chargers are in order and some smoothing while I sort out some nice blued ones. The loading procedure sure is welcome. I've since youtubed a bunch as well. I also confirmed my No 5 is a genuine carbine.
 
I found the best stripper clips I have ever had. I Found them on E bay, ordered 120 from Australia .Took 3 weeks to get to Prince George. $85.00 Australian or $101.00 Canadian for 60. I first bought 60, and they worked so good I bought another 60. The clips are British Mark 4 (are old, new), never been used and are GREAT...... www.bryburn.com........No sticking, No marking up of cases, hold cases firmly, but are very easy to push into rifle. Give them a Try you will not be disappointed.

Canuck Bob you are right, With shipping I paid $208.00 Canadian for 60 Chargers,Shipping Included. Anybody looking should go to Bryburn trading co Australia ebay stores. These charges work Great!!!! With out sanding, bending, oiling, swearing, hitting with hammer. They just work like you want them to, Really worth the Price. but that is About $3.50 each, but that includes shipping.

Same here... I bought several and they work well.
