Stripping my stock

Just wanted to know what I should use to strip the old finish off/out of my stock as I want to give it a fresh new look

"Easy Off" Foam Oven cleaner. Worked like a dream on mine. Actually, I used a no named brand as it was a bit cheaper

I second the 'Easy Off' it worked on my Norinco stock as well. Speaking of strippers, that was the first place I went to after getting my class 5 license yesterday. Only in BC would your reward for upgrading your license be to drink and drive. After many years of searching for a reason to actually upgrade, it was beer and strippers that won out, but I should have devoted my time searching for dragons though because the khaleni is hot and her husband is dead so perfect time to pretend you care and get some smilf action

Ok I forgot to mention its not a Norc chew wood stock it's a usgi. Should I still use the same method ?

I only used oven cleaner on my chu wood stock. I also used Methyl Hydrate on an old Mosin I once owned and it didn't work that well. Someone with more experience should chime in.
