stuck case in die!!! ughhhhhh!

What size of bolt did you thread to? I've never seen 1/4" strip out, but there should be room for a bigger bolt. If nothing else if the hole is bigger than the expanded ball you can get the decapping assembly out the bottom. Then you should be able to use a bolt and nut to get away from turning the bolt in the brass.

Place a socket large enough to fit over the stuck case with a lag screw and washer on the end tighten the heck out of it and it will let go.As stated lube the inside of the die........Harold

Try penetrating oil both ends, throw it in the freezer overnight and then let it warm up the next day with some more oil. Good luck! And order up another depriming stem ....

I had a case head seperation in my 300 win -- new die , . Maybe freeze it and try any and all suggestions. .good luck

Here is another trick: I once used Dust-off compressed gas spray. When you invert the can it sprays the liquid aerosol, which then evaporates and freezes its surroundings. Drill out the case head to remove the decapping assembly, install the die in the press and attach the ram with shell holder to the case. Spray into the hole in the top of the die while applying downward force to the ram. Your case should just pop out as it contracts from the cold temperature inside.

I did almost that many last Saturday... 3200 rounds. You need to reload more.

wont happen, there is no reason for a properly lubed case to jam in a sizing die, it has never happened and it will not happen, forget it.

I've had 2. Both 458 wm. Ripped the rim off the first one. Buddy knocked it out with a punch no issues. My most recent the head separated. The whole body is stuck in my die. It's been a ##### and it's still in there. 3Rd load on brass from the 60s.
