stuck case in die!!! ughhhhhh!

Just out of curiosity, what lube did you use? Almost had it happen with Hornady spray lube. Ditched it and went Dillon and never looked back. Lee is pretty good too.

Had one happen loading 30-06, was my first time. Lucky enough to have the stuck case remover and it came out just fine. Decided I wasn't using enough lube, hasn't happened since.

I had bugger of a time once. Funny enough it did work through no expectation of mine.
Heated up the die with a propane torch. Let cool and tried to remove the brass.....no good. Tossed the die aside overnight in freezing weather...in the am.....the darn brass let loose. Worth a try before tossing the thing into the bin. So heat er up first....then place in the freezer over night. May work, may not...
Elky....

Heat the die with a hair dryer. Then blast the case with compressed dust-off for cleaning computer keyboards. The temperature difference should shrink the case enough to come out.

When your tightening the screw to remove the case tap on the side of the die every 1/2 turn of the screw with a brass hammer or wooden hammer handle. Sometimes that little vibration will help to get the case to let go.

It ended up coming out.
Lubed it up let it sit over night...pop lol

Wow that's great news!!!!! Thanks for the update!

I've been there. I'm a fairly new reloader and didn't have my "system" established, so I accidentally pulled a cartridge from the wrong tray and it got stuck in the die. A rookie mistake! My story doesn't end as good as yours haha.

Glad it worked out!!!
