stuck front sight post

I finally got around to buying a new sight tool after breaking my last two. After soaking in penetrating fluid and heating up the sight I was able to get the post to move, however, it goes a quarter turn in either direction and then there is a hard stop where it will not turn any more. I am reluctant to force it after breaking a couple of tools, and I definately do not want to break the post off. Has anybody experienced this? And if so how was it dealt with? Is there something in there that I need to get out to get things moving? I'm out of ideas here.
 
If they are sks front sights... they are slotted between the threads so something might be stuck in between the slot?...
As you are turning the front sight slowly, a little tapping with a small brass hammer or rubber mallet might not be a bad idea to dislodge or relocate any debris that may be in between.
 
Problem solved, a small application of paraffin wax to the threads of the post after heating it up, a good drift with a brass punch, and slowly working the post back and forth got it out. Turns out the threads right down at the bottom were galled a tiny bit which is what made for the resistance. Cleaned them up with a thread file and reinstalled it with a coat of anti seize. Should be good now. Thanks all.

By the way, it was an sks. I'm an idiot for not saying so the first time.:bangHead:

Oh great, my sight post is off to. Hopefully mine won't be as troublesome.
