Stuck LIVE 7mm cartridge -- FIXED, pics

6 good blows with a small hammer.

I am glad it worked out for you with a small hammer...

I have experienced it requiring as many blows or more with a heavy hammer ... it was like pounding on concrete once the bullet fully seated inside the case... but then some pop out much easier...

You certainly gave me the confidence to try it. I was primarily worried about the rifling. This was solved by using industrial grade plastic tubing and heavy copper wire.
The 4mm copper alloy rod was so hard that my Dremel cutting wheel struggled a bit when I cut it to size.

I have a smaller set made for my carbine length barrels.

The hammer end, I believe. I made sure to use the clean factory cut end to connect with the bullet. Looking back, I should have lightly sanded the bullet end with a rough grit sandpaper to ensure maximum "traction".

Neat, that ballistic tip might have gotten pushed in helping create a "flat". I would be nervous if it was a pointy bullet with a hard metal on the tip, glad it worked out for you.

That's when you need to drop a slightly undersized bullet down the barrel with a cut/flattened top.
