Stuck mosin front sight.

Long story short, bought a mosin rifle many years back, had the front sight squared out on the base since I didn't know any better, and now I need to drift it back to zero the thing properly. Problem is that front sight really doesn't want to drift. From punches to drifting tools, nothing will get it to budge. Curious if any folks here have any tricks to get that thing to move without bending the barrel sideways.

Use a front sight pusher specific for the 91/30 platform. You should be able to pick one up cheap on Amazon or ebay

Yup, already had one as mentioned. Even that thing wouldn't budge the post.

Bigger hammer and punch, barrel muzzle in a padded vise.

Pushing it out the right way? It got a slight taper.

I know my TOZ I had to clamp the barrel in a vise and really use a BFH and a punch.

Penetrating oil for a few days? Add some heat? Then WHACK!
