stuck open M&P 40 cal

Sounds like you got lucky that nothing let go.
A squib load, followed by another round that bulged the barrel. Hard to figure that you did
not notice something wrong especially in a .40.

we were doing quick shooting..5 in one target 5 in another target change clips 5 in another target 4 in another target and 1 at the gong. The one at the gong didnt go off..looked at the gun ,stove pipe..cleared then shot the last at the gong...the last shot made a louder bang and the slide slamed back...stuck...was able to release the slide when I got it home..the barrel isnt split just bowed enough for slide not to work...i know i should have checked the barrel when i noticed the stovepipe but everything is happening so fast in a speed round.....my bad...im still not sure there was something stuck in the barrel...ive seen a barrel that had a bullet stuck and another fired right behind it,,the barrel was split wide open.............not mine just a little bow

I was lucky with my M&P9, the squib load was just strong enough to push the bullet forward, but not far enough forward to allow the round behind it to chamber - I can see how you'd just hit the IA drill and go though, very easy to do when you going fast.

Called everybody that i could think of and all the contacts you guys gave me..nobody had any...finally got to talk to somebody from Questar...One being shipped today....nice people to deal with...they will be getting more of my bussiness ...thanks for all your help.....its nice to be part of this forum. ..i was thinking i would have to buy another 40 just for the barrel
