I tried to order a thinner, plain black front sight from Ameriglo (they also make plain black sights). I actually called them, as well as emailed. I placed the order, and we agreed:

Ship via United States Postal Service. Not, I repeat Not UPS!

So, they charge me $15 US for shipping... for a front sight, and sure enough, when it gets here, it comes via UPS, and they want $38.60 for brokerage.

No Dog damned way. So, UPS is taking it right back to the stupid, greedy bastards.

Anyone know of another source for thinner front sights for Glock?

Aargh.

If it's a metal sight, why do you take a file and thin it yourself or have you favorite smith do it for you?

Dude, I think you should totally do it yourself.

I think you are both wrong. :) Well, maybe I'll get Spencer to do it.

If the sides aren't perfectly parallel and vertical, I'd be fooked.

Always insist on US Mail. Crooks don’t like US Mail because if they cheat by using the mail, they will commit federal offence and will have postal inspectors after them. And those guys are quite persistent in making accountable certain “customers” who are (ab)using the mail in their not so honest trading practices.

I have had some problems with Ameriglo, but when it was sent via UPS, it was sent back because it is a gun part???

Anyhow, it took a while to rectify the situation. The wrong sight was sent the second time (I now have a free USP Expert front sight), but later a front sight for the Custom sport arrived on my door. I called him and told him, " do not send shipments to Canada via UPS, he sent my second order via USPS, and it got here with no problems.

That being said, I have to say, they are great sights, much better than Mepro, as I have both....
