Thanks. It really makes the folder much nicer to use. If it was a little thicker it would keep it from latching. That stock has a ##### of a tight latch button.

It is easy enough to recreate, though. Just throw a FAB handguard and grip onto one of the 11"-12" shorty 858 type rifles that are currently available and figure out how the pipe insulation is being held on the stock.

My folder is easier to open than my last one but it has more wiggle, which sucks.

You inspired me, though I find it more slippery. Shouldn't be nearly as cold on the cheek now though.

Did you knot the end? I wrapped mine the same way you'd whip the end of a rope. Learned that a million years ago in Scouts.

Knotted it and melted it closed. It's not coming loose. I was in scouts but I have no idea what a whipped end is. Now I'm gonna have to google it.

Has anyone thought of black tennis racket grip tape over the foam, or possibly black hockey stick grip tape?

If you check a bike shop or even canadian tire you can get a BMX handlebar cover that has foam inside and a wrap with velcro to close it. You can cut these down to size and they can be removed if conditions are wet and for cleaning.

Hockey stick grip tape gets sticky and annoying after awhile on hockey sticks atleast
