Stupid Primer Question

Thank You. :)

Anytime. By the way, it's not a stupid question at all. If it helps, I use 39.8gr Varget, Sierra Match King 174's, CCI BR2 LR primers. I have 2 .303's and keep the brass for each separate.

But I gotta ask, what manual are you using, that it does not specify primer? If the answer is "I am not using a manual," then please obtain and read a good one before you load a round. Hornady seems to do a fine job of explaining the whole process, and I can't help but feel that far too many of the questions I see on this forum can only arise becasue folks are not reading the manual. Really. They are fascinating, and they are written by genuine incurable gun fanatics who have access to both unlimited components and amazing instrumentation.

Ya what he said. :HR:

"...be sure I was safe..." It's more about buying the right primer. A small rifle primer won't stay in a large rifle primer hole. Mind you, having 1,000 incorrect primers is a reason to buy another rifle. snicker.
"...written by genuine incurable gun fanatics..." That's for sure. Even though they're all engineers. Most are shooters first.
