Like the title says.... it must sound like a stupid question but if I am shooting 2" or so high of my bullseye, do I turn my scope up to the bullet point or down toward the bulleye... I can never get that right...Same thing for left and right... If it shoots left do I turn my scope windage setting to the left?

you want to move the reticle to the bullet impact point.......then the reticle will correspond with the point of impact......which way you adjust the turrets is dependent on the scope you have. If you secure the rifle/scope and adjust the W & E while looking through the scope you will be able to see how adjusting the turrets effect the movement of the reticle....
Quality modern optics are all labeled with regards to which axis you are adjusting and in what direction. Quality modern optics also follow the principles outlined above. Adjust the optic in the direction you wish the bullet to go. Shooting high means you will turn the optic DOWN, etc etc. Optics not marked and which do not follow the standard rules are probably of questionable origins and quality.
