I bought the above a while ago off the EE for this fall's hunting. Very happy with it overall, but have hit a snag while mounting a scope.

I can't remove the bolt.

I pulled it with no problems when I received the rifle to clean it up, but now I can feel the end of the bolt hitting the sear when I try to pull it with the trigger already depressed. Any ideas what would suddenly cause this problem? Solutions?

Thanks,
Mark

Nevermind, more fiddling got it. Apparently you have to hold your mouth just right and I wasn't there... There is very minimal overtravel on the trigger and it seems to be a very close thing on releasing the bolt. I will have to pull the action from the stock and see if the trigger group is gunked up.

The bolt will come out if you do the following:

With the bolt closed get your finger behind the trigger and push it forward firmly toward the muzzle.

Open the bolt and slide it back and it should come right out. If it doesn't, try to move the bolt back and forth a few times before it finally does slide out.

Just keep forward pressure on the trigger and the bolt will release.
