Ok, I have a form 6 for various firearms but ATF won't approve my 11.5 Bushmaster for import. It may only be because of the barrel length but I don't know for certain.

Does anyone know how I can get my Bushy down there for courses etc? Is there a form I can submit to ATF that I will be in and out?

Am I going to be stuck buying another AR?:D

from what I read as a canadian you cannot import anything under 16.1 this is due to the way they classify firearms. anything shorter than 16.1 in the states requires a special "license" from the ATF this is similar to the speacial "licenses" us gun owner need to own a full auto.

Sorry dude, but you won't get a Form 6 NIA for anything NFA down south. You'll need a 16 inch upper.

LEO can import on a temporary basis NFA items, but I don't believe that's on a Form 6 NIA.

Cybershooters here might have the link still, but I recall his posting an origional letter from DOS or ATF regarding the issue of temporarily importing the normally unimportable.

Thats a short barreled rifle so its a no go down south. Unless you travel under work credentials, but that would porbably require a different import permit.
all you need is another upper not another AR, but if you're looking for an excuse to buy a second rifle then here ya go.
