I got my SVT 1945 from a fellow nutz, thx Henry:D Its a 1945 Tula, refurb of course, with a 1943 AVT stock. Rifle have the correct larges ports muzzle brake and narrow trigger guard. Stock is very nice, bore is virtually new inside. The SVT 40 was made for only 3 days in 1945, production stopped january 3 1945 wich made Tokarev 1945 dated quite scarce rifle. Here's fews pics, thankyou for looking.

How many did they make in 3 days?
Hard to tell, i try to find some data about this. My guess is less than 2500 rifles, by 1942, the SVT production begin to drop year after years.

Nice specimen, its the first '45 I have seen. Wanna sell her?
Thanks:) Sell her??? you joking right?:p Sorry, she's on the never sell list or i will go to hell:cool:

It was worth a shot. Nice to know she found someone that'll take care of her and pass her on to the future generation. Kudos to you.

What did you pay for the rifle? Just wondering what the depreciation is on a used one.
First, the SVT 40 are all used and refurbed for the most part. Second, a 1945 dated SVT 40 is the rarest SVT you probably can come across because very very fews were made. I posted my rifle on Gunboard and i can say that manys guys down there were quite surprised that i come across this one. A guy told me he saw only 4 SVT 1945, mine included, all 3 digit serial number. The highest he saw was in the 700's range, mine is #631. The guy guess that less than a thousand were made in 1945, this can be possible. Dealers sell the SVT between $300-$400 range, i bought mine from a fellow CGNer so i had to pay more, i paid $600 for that rifle. Somes will say that its too much for a SVT 40 but i was willing to pay that price to have a 1945 dated,i just couldn't let that opportunity going away.

You know in 10 years that rifle will be worth atleast twice what you payed. Good score. They can only refurb so many and yours is the rare of the rare.

I'm to cheap I am just going to buy one for$299. I can't wait to get one.
