So what do you owners think of this neat gun? Is any good? Price is OK and the main thing is I can take it coyote hunting. I'd like an AR but it's a range only, and I'd like a 223 semiauto for coyotes here on the farm

i had one, super light( it is a survival rifle) never had any ftf or fte issues with it, the rod operated bolt stays cleaner than a DI bolt, runs ar mags, and you can get ar styled furniture if you like, shoots nice groups too!

Love my 16F. No FTF's or FTE's or anything of the sort. The FN FAL quad rail doesn't need to be removed for cleaning and the pistol grip adapters accepts AR stocks. LAR mags and optics galore. Still light weight. Gotta love it.
What no pick this time P@rick lol joking yours is probably the nicest build on a SU16 I've seen yet but seriously if I see one more pick of that duct tape mag coupler I'm sending you a real one. Kidding aside to the OP it is a great little rifle for the money, not much you can complain about with a sub $1200 rifle that excepts lar mags and decks out nice with ar furniture. Owned one for awile with zero problems what so ever and the friend I sold it too still runs her hard ever time were out.

We have gone totally off topic now but hey theres a million "hows the Su16" threads anyways. Ill be honest I have the ones with the locking srews but for the life of me dont see how they are supposed to work. No matter which way you thread the screw in it doesnt change anything about the fitment of mags. I ended up just using a small washer and it works it great.

I run 10-round AR Pistol mags had 2 stove pipes in the first 100 rounds or so, 1500 rounds of bulk Federal later not one issue since.
Built in bi-pod is flimzy, lots of plastic but don't be fooled it's a solid rifle.
Oh did I mention the 2 foot flames shooting out of the barrel with the Federal bulk ammo

Picked one up today, not as bad as I orignally thought. Once lubed the action is still a bit rough but its still brand new. The trigger is pretty bad though, quite heavy and gritty like an SKS. The front sight plunger is siezed up so Ill have to figure something out with that but otherwise Im happy with it so far. The action is very AK with a little AR, reminds me of a saiga hunter. Breaking it down is super easy and completely tool-less.
What ammo did you get 1" from?? And what distance.
I haven't been impressed by it yet, 4" and bigger @ 100yrds & inconsistent.
A few stovepipes, no failure to fire or feed.
Scope rings on plastic receiver doesn't leave me with confident.
Fun rifle, but I always leave it in the safe when I head out hunting.
Think I'll try an xcr next.

Ya most of the issues with this rifle are that it heats up way to quick and the trigger sucks. I post a how to on the trigger but got flamed by lone-wolf cause it is preaty hard to do. After I got mine re-crowned and threaded from Dlask it would shoot a 2" 10 shot group from a bi-pod shooting 62gr. Federal. Witch is preaty dam good considering it is only supposed to be worth $350-$425 for this rifle but it did take me a hour to shoot that group and the glass on the rifle was worth more than the rifle it's self...
But the SU22 on the other hand...
She is a keeper. Honestly a keeper. Light wieght semi-afforadble semi-accurate semi-auto that has a 50 round drum. Blast dam near 1000 rounds in 3 hours at Mission last saturday with no lube and straight out of the box and not 1 malfunction or FTF and can pick a shotun hull of at 50 meters with a bushnell TRS-25. It's good enough to be my #1 grouse gun...
BECAUSE IT WIEGHS NOTHING!
Honestly it doesn't even feel real and I have to add wieght to it so that I stop over reacting to it's insanley light wieght. Plus the trigger on this one that I have is night and day right out of the box.
Actualy the only grip I have on this model is how it looks like they took a dremil to the ejection port. But besides that who cares cause I am going to treat this plinking like trash.
Post back later on how she holds up.
Also this rifle will not cycle the CB Longs.
But the SU22 on the other hand...

Shooting was at 100 yards with shooting bench and sand bags. 3x9 scope at 9, 1" ammo was Fiocchi 50gr. 3" group was Hornady Zombie 55gr. other ammo included Hor. steel match at 1.5" and MFS at 2" all were 5 shot groups.
