SU16 Recommended Ammo to try

Shooting pretty well now with American Eagle 223 REM 55gr FMJ Tactical Eagle. (I didn't buy it from Cabelas. Just a link to show you the picture.)
My first 200 rounds I did have some FTE and FTFs but after I cleaned it and stopped using the terrible plastic factory magazines (I use LAR-15s now) the next 500 rnds on my next three range visits had no issues at all.

Mine runs 100% on American Eagle Tactical 55gr.
Not as accurate as my handloads but a great deal, my Kel-tec will put 5 into 1.5" at 50yds with a reddot sight. Very consistently.
I think when I put a scope on it I'll try it at 100yds and I'm guessing it will be even better, my reddot pretty much covers the bullseye at 50.
Do yourself a favor and buy 1000rd ammo can.

Tried Winchester white box 45gr that contain 40 rounds of holopoint not one issue with primer punches or FTF/FTE and this is what it grouped like out of the 10 round pistol mag at 100 and 200 meter's on a cold day. These groups were done with a redfield accurange 2-7x32mm scope as fast as I could accuratly pull the trigger. 30 rounds at each target;

To add to this I also shot the red box 62gr federal with the lake city brass 20 round a box and the focchi 55gr 50 round box. Again no issuse's to report.
So as you can see a varmit with in 300 meter's is do able with off the shelf ammo. Now I am going to ask my buddy to load me up some Barnes Varmit Grenade rounds and see how tight I can get these groups before I go off to visit M14Docotor up in a 100 mile house for some cyotee calling fun

i was surprised by the decent accuracy of the 55gr AE, and loaded up some starting loads with sierra 69gr match biullets, i hope to get out this weekend to try them out and i will try to remember to post results.
