I tried my su16f at the range yesterday at 25 yards, fired 10 shots.
No holes in the paper?

Looked at the rear sight, was a bit to the right ok.... center it, fire.
1-2 shots on right side of paper.
Ok, now the rear iron is almost all the way to the left, and it STILL fires to the right of the paper.
What's wrong? it seems like I would need to adjust it to the extreme left to get it center on paper.

I though it was the front post, so I unscrewed it (probably for nothing because it seemed center already).

Wtf is wrong? I am absolutely sure it's not me aiming this bad. I was using sandbag rest to adjust it, and my ar15 shoots fine at the range with irons...

Image from keltec to show rear sight. No.... my front post is not angled like that ;)

should be, (but might not be) how do I make sure?

I had a suspicion about that plastic receiver....

What should I do about it? Email frontier firearms for an exchange?

Simple to fix. Allen key torx screw located on the front sight. Undo it slightly and twist to the approrate direction to correct for the windage issue.

Good call. I wonder if this could have had any effect on my co-hosts' situation with his elevation issue? I don't know if he had to adjust for a pile of windage or not though. I'll have to see. If not then it would just screw his stuff up.

OP, let us know how much you had to adjust elevation when you try this.

I adjusted the rear sight to the leftmost, and it fires ok now.

I would need to slightly bend the front post to the right to be able to re-center the rear sight I guess. But it would look ankward.

Or I should maybe just get a scope on it and be done with that sight crap?

bleh?

ya but they all cost a ton... the keltec was 1000 with the ar stock kit. I would like a 1-4 scope and mount that wont cost more than the gun....

suggestions? where do I buy?

is it actually considered normal that I have to move the rear sight completely to the left to have a brand new rifle fire straight????

I am a bit disapointed with kel tec quality I have to say.... won't buy keltec again.
(unless they properly take care of my issue)

Seems unacceptable to me to sell a rifle with a barrel that is not even remotely in line with the receiver.....

The keltec is more expensive than the norc m4, and the norc actually fires where you aim..... only reason im keeping it is the fact that it's the cheapest NR that takes LAR mags.

If you're not satisfied why don't you call where ever it is you bought the gun from and explain to them that the sights seem to be off?

Been told that the importer could take a look and that I would probably be charged for this. Obviously I would have to pay the shipping back also.

I'll try to write to keltec

Have you tried a laser bore sighting tool?

well it would simply demonstrate what the irons have already demonstrated....

unless my irons are totally out of spec, I doubt it.
I mean the rear iron is TOTALLY to the left, feels weird and looks weird to aim with it.

you should only have to pay the shipping to them. my gfs sub2k's trigger mech' went for a #### last summer, we sent it out to the seller, they sent it to valt, a few weeks later we get a new gun. seems to be a thing with keltec, they are either good, or effed right outta the box
