Sub 2000 rail question

Just wondering if any of you have seen a sub 2000 with a rail infront of the stock front sight? My friend has the quad rail but with a red dot, the sight picture isn't fantastic for me. I'd really like to have the sight closer to my eye.
Yes I know this will effect the folding.

Check this out, every conceivable way to mount optics on a sub2k. Look on youtube as well, good ideas are out there. I used the spring door hinge idea on mine. Its on you tube
