Sub $500, 9mm recommendations for 1st pistol?

I was expecting to find mostly surplus stuff, but found lots of images of modernTokarev holsters....which surprised me (for an out of production piece).
The manufacturers that popped up for this stuff didn't have the availability apparent on their sites, but was present when the search function was used.

For the Viking, I want a Russian Army (flap style) holster. Couldn't find one :( Yet there were other styles around...

Teapot:Is there any followup to the earlier/implied "Viking versus HK" (or Glock) challenge/reliability test? I'd like to watch if it happens. I'll even donate some ammo to the test.

The availability problem is not with manufacturing the holsters or other accessories for TT, Viking, Makarov, SKS, Mosin, etc., the problem is with distributing. We can bring excellent quality accessories (and we do bring them) but most of the dealers we talked to not interested in them. Guess why, because people never ask for accessories for Russian guns. If you like to see the Russian accessories in your local store talk to the owner.

Looks like leather only and all from an unknown maker which equates to custom holsters, what about kydex? Its no surprise the holsters are made in the same nation as the guns they hold.

Just let it go dude. The blind cannot see the light. Their ego and emotions are invested in this amazing east bloc pistol. Logic no longer works for them. They will continue with their circular arguments about how it is another option and find other bs methods of why it's so good like how it fits, and feels, and how it is quite good for the money etc etc

It's the kia mentality, cheap hardware initially with justification of why it's quite good performing for how much it costs.

the norinco version of the sig 226 is amazing. I don't own one but had the pleasure of shooting one recently. Sometime the milling is bad on norinco products, so its best to buy them in store if you can so you can inspect. That being said, they always shoot fine.
