Subsonic recipe

Trailboss is your friend. Heavy bullets and work your way down from a case full up to the bottom of the neck. Might run into stability issues but you won't know until you try.
 
I managed to get a couple right at/under mach1 that gave pretty good groups in my SKS and cycled the action reliably.
Both used Speer #2223 180gn SPRN at one end and CCI 250 at the other.
One used 18.5 grains of H4895, and the other 15.0 grains of IMR 4198.
Absolutely no hope in hell of getting any expansion out of the bullet, so terminal ballistics will be a lot like 9mm FMJ...

I'm gonna need to try those loads to see them cycle an SKS. Getting subsonics to cycle a SA is a dig deal.
