Successful 1st time rifle reloads

Congrats and nice shooting.

I thought you couldn't shoot A-MAX out of an AR due to OAL length unless hand fed? This has to do with the OGIVE being seated behind the case mouth if the OAL is sized to 2.26" to fit in an AR mag.

You might be mixing them up with the heavier A-MAX projectiles that go up to 80grains? The 52gr bullets that I used are pretty small. My COL is 2.235.
 
I bought a box of AMAX and thought they were 52gr, maybe I have the 75gr but will have to check. They are pretty small pills too and the OGIVE ends up seating behind the case mouth in mine if set to 2.26".
